"I am happy to be joining LouCouPsych this summer as a resident in counseling and providing therapy services and am bringing experience gained from both private practice and community based healthcare.
As an individual therapist, I provided psychotherapy and group counseling for youth, adolescents, adults, and families. As part of a hospital system program, I have also provided intensive in-home therapy to families throughout Northern Virginia. This service provides individual support, behavioral interventions, family counseling, and parent consultations to help stabilize home life for some of the most difficult issues young people face today. I also have experience working with adults having difficulty navigating life transitions and the day to day difficulties that come from living in this wonderful, yet stressful and fast-paced, area. A special interest of mine is working with athletes as they navigate the difficulties of balancing both mind and body wellness.
Regardless of age or of the problems one is facing, I believe each client deserves to be treated as a person, not a diagnosis. I enjoy tackling life’s problems with individual attention and a combination of counseling styles to best suit each client. I look forward to meeting you and working towards your goals with empathy, compassion, and a joy for helping others."
Ellie will also be mainly taking over the LouCouPsych blog, and will be writing articles on a wide spectrum of subjects regarding mental health in America today. Please help in welcoming Ellie to the team, we are so excited to have her with us! Click here to request more information!
