Dr. Sulman Aziz Mirza, MD is a psychiatrist who completed his Psychiatry Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and then went on to complete his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is triple Board Certified, in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as Addiction Medicine. Throughout his training, Dr. Mirza has learned from some of the leaders and pioneers in the field of psychiatry, and has had opportunities afforded to few in practice today. He has had the privilege to work in a variety of settings, from inpatient psychiatric units with medical capabilities, the two oldest state psychiatric facilities in the country, a large Veterans Affairs hospital, one of less than 10 in the country highly specialized unit for children and adolescents with neuropsychiatric conditions, to the classrooms of Baltimore City public schools. Dr. Mirza is knowledgeable and experienced with the latest pharmacological interventions, as well as therapy modalities, and is comfortable working with people others are not.

Most importantly, Dr. Mirza firmly believes that every individual is different and is seeking care for a unique reason. His practice is based on the belief that each individual deserves the same respect and treatment that he would demand for himself.
